This is Where We Live
Fumes. Check. Rude pedestrians. Check. Urban decay. Check. You've had enough of the city. You'll do anything, relocate to another country, if needed, just to escape the city. You're sick of the small spaces, you're sick of all the crowds, you'll even accept a pay cut just to have a better quality of life. The only witness you have of all this outpouring is your succulent named Andrew. City sucks.
Fast forward four years and you got this! Lush greens, fantastic tropical weather, and most of all, the sea! You haven't been splurging on the usual twice yearly holidays and for some reason, you don't miss it. Here, there's greens, here there's sea breeze, and it's here everyday! You've never been so lucky to ever find a city where you can go downtown to make TV and then go home to inhale real fresh air.
It didn't happen overnight, but I'm so glad I landed here.
I haven't mastered the art of waiting. But just glad that the universe has rescued and eased my stress. I've simplified a lot to make this life possible.
Goodbye, expensive shoes, I only need my flip flops to wonder around the woods! So long, late nights of getting wasted, I'd rather breathe!
This is my favorite spot where I can park my butt and dabble with my watercolours.
This is where I do some stretches after a run or do tai chi.
It's paradise found. And should I have to move to another place and another city, this place gives me great memories to look back to!
Thank you!
