I Love the Night Sky

On days when I feel depleted, I do a night time walking meditation or just surrender to all the beauty in front of me by stargazing.  The night’s cool touch also tells me that it is time to wind down. Years back, when I lived in a South China city, a cloud of pollution loomed over the sky nightly that one would be lucky to even see one or two stars at night. The city had laser and firework display to lure tourists. Sadly, it couldn't replace the natural beauty covered by its nocturnal pollution.

Those 8 years that I spent in there sent me longing for my nightly routine when I was home. Now back in my hometown for over a year, nurturing a business born out of my passion, I tap into this universal strength and inspiration that my nocturnal musings bring. Once again, I create my destiny and aim to live my dream.  It is not without hardships, but my connection with the divine permeates my soul.

Good results are now trickling in.
ShivaSamrita, a 500 year-old Tantric text, regarded the moon as a source of immortality. In our times, it was believed by Tantra practitioners led and inspired by David Gordon White  that the moon has to be deemed to contain Amrita, “the substance of the macrocosmic moon, the divine nectar of immortality”.

There is something about a clear night sky and the crisp air that invigorates me, winds me down, helps me become self-reflective, and even clears my head.  With our  daily grind, it’s also a form of closure that the challenges are done… for now. It’s a time out from the harrowing daily combat, and also a chance to thank ourselves for bringing us through the whole day,  and an invitation  to experience peace and tranquility.
